WOW, has this year gone fast or what?  I can’t believe that it’s already March.  For the sports fans among us, they are ready for ‘MARCH MADNESS.”  

I’m really excited about what’s happening in the life of the church in March.  Our sermon series for Lent is as follows:

 

March 4 The Foolishness of God.  1 Cor. 1:18-25

March 11 The Amazing Thing About Grace.  Eph. 2:1-10

March 18 Lift Him Up.  John 12:20-33

March 25 The Mind of  Christ.  Phil. 2:5-11

 

On  Wednesday’s we will have our Lenten luncheons, with various pastors and churches from around Franklin County sharing the responsibility for the devotional time, music, and the meal to follow in the gym.  Hope you will be a part of this third annual event.

March Madness continues on Wednesday nights as the Wednesday Night Live (WNL) programming continues.  The current adult studies continue through March 7th.  No WNL on the 14th due to Spring break, and a seven-week study entitled “Confronting the Controversies” begins on March 21st.  Books will be available for purchase on March 7th.  Check your Sunday School folders for the listing and order of the topics we will discuss.  We will use a book by Adam Hamilton (a United Methodist pastor) as our main source, and his book relies heavily on Holy Scripture.
